National Service Initiatives
Each year, Deltasigs across the country contribute thousands of hours in service to hundreds of causes and organizations. At the national level, Delta Sigma Pi promotes specific service initiatives every year that help the Fraternity make an impact nationwide. When brothers from around the world support the same cause, our efforts create bigger results. Few initiatives show the power of the organization more than Delta Sigma Pi’s participation in Make A Difference Day. Each year Deltasigs serve their communities and local organizations on the nation’s largest day of community service sponsored by USA WEEKEND Magazine, in collaboration with Points of Light.

Chapter Service Events
Service is one of Delta Sigma Pi’s four pillars and an aspect of our professional fraternity that Pi Chapter takes pride in and is dedicated to upholding! We recognize the importance of giving back to the community and make an effort to volunteer both individually and with other UGA organizations, participating in campus service events such as the Service Ambassadors’ “Dawg Day of Service.” We try to get involved in the Athens community and frequently volunteer with the Athens Area Humane Society, the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia, the Athens Area Homeless Shelter, the Brooklyn Cemetery, and Keep Athens-Clarke County Beautiful. Pi chapter also takes part in national service initiatives, such as working with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive, collecting pop-tabs for the Ronald McDonald House Charities, and keeping Hull Street, our Adopt-a-Road, clean. Additionally, each semester, our brothers choose a charity or organization to fund-raise for and try to volunteer monthly with the charity. This semester, our charity is the Athens Area Humane Society.
